Bill specialises in horizon scanning and strategy development, organisational transformation and capability development.

He uses futures techniques to enable organisations develop a robust strategy to respond to emerging changes. He then supports clients in turning that strategy into reality through goal-driven planning, business case development and the management of change. Bill also designs and delivers training solutions in the above disciplines. He has undertaken organisation wide training needs analyses for both private and public sector clients.

In consulting he has worked with a wide range of clients from engineering firms and global consultancies to the European Commission, Government Departments including the Home Office, the Ministry of Defence, the NHS and FCO, and security agencies and Police Forces. He has worked with staff members at all levels from the Management Boards of the MOD and FCO to officers on the beat.

After an early career in the Ministry of Defence and PwC, he became one of the founding directors of Tribal Consulting. He also has 14 years past experience as a Reserve Army Officer, including working for 8 years in intelligence and security. He holds current UK Government security clearance at SC level.

Bill holds a BSc Honours degree in Psychology from Queens University Belfast, and is a past Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He holds a Diploma in Executive Coaching and a Prince2 Foundation qualification. He is Vice Chairman of a military veterans charity and was a Public Governor of the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust for 5 years.
