Keith is an expert in complex organisational transformations for Government, Corporate and Charity sectors to improve business and user outcomes. He applies his senior leadership experience in global commercial enterprises – Shell, McKinsey and Deloitte – to mentor and build effective board & executive teams. He chairs the board of major charities including the Mental Health Foundation to establish beneficiary-focused strategies. He has directed restructuring and business-wide change programmes for complex, high-profile commercial and governmental organisations; and collaborated with senior stakeholders to clearly communicate programme strategies. With 20 years’ practice in the field, Keith has published more than 30 articles on leadership, change and restructuring topics in European Management Journal, McKinsey Quarterly, Wall Street Journal etc.

His early career was at Shell in a variety of roles including Chief Executive in Cyprus and Planning Manager in London before moving to McKinsey in 1993, becoming a Partner in 1998. In 2006, he joined Deloitte as Partner focusing on major organisational & leadership transformation opportunities in the firm’s Public Sector practice as the Government began to address policy & performance challenges, sharpened by the financial crisis beginning in March 2007.

He advised Chief Executives and Permanent Secretaries on their most complex strategic challenges, including Defence projects, NHS effectiveness, Major Project leadership and building the capabilities to cope with Brexit. His Non-Exec experience includes: Chair of the board of the Mental Health Foundation, Fellow of Windsor Leadership (a leadership development charity), Chair of Build Africa and Non-Executive Director for The Tablet.
