fellow

Paul Moxey is Visiting Professor of Corporate Governance at London South Bank University and Chairman of the Control and Risk Self Assessment Forum – a network of specialists interested in the behavioural aspects of governance and risk management. He is recognised as an innovator and thought leader on governance and risk in uncertain times. He now works with boards and teams in assessing and improving their culture and governance and risk management practices to improve organisational performance and resilience.

Paul has used workshops to consider corporate objectives in an uncertain environment since the 1990s. They are a key component of the Control and Risk Self Assessment methodology that he developed in the late 1990s. He is a skilled workshop facilitator and has applied this methodology in many NHS hospital trusts and health authorities. He has since developed this approach for assessing various aspects of governance, organisational culture and business models. This work is informed by the ideas he developed while leading, for over 13 years until January 2015, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants thought leadership on corporate governance, business ethics and risk management including most recently an ESRC funded two year practical research project on corporate culture and behaviour.

Paul is a chartered accountant and was CFO and Company Secretary of a small quoted company before specialising in governance.
